Man managed to live for 82 years without meeting a woman

A man lived to be 82 years old and managed to go his whole life without meeting a woman. 


There are many things I could live without for 82 years, but spiders are one of them. I could also live without zit-pumping videos for 82 years.


When he was growing up, Tolotos adhered to the strict rules in the area, and one of those rules was that women were not allowed to enter the monastery.


This rule had been around for centuries, so there was no way for him to run into a woman while he was at the monastery.

He could have gone out into the world, where women were more likely to meet him, but it is said that the adopted man never left the monastery, even though he lived into his 80s.

It is difficult to imagine going an entire lifetime without meeting a woman, because people are everywhere.


Mihailo was born in 1856 on the island of Mount Athos, Greece. He never knew his biological mother, who died shortly after he was born, leaving him an orphan. 



He was adopted by Orthodox monks at the monastery, where he was raised by monks who lived at the monastery. All of his knowledge about women comes from his peers and descriptions in books. 


Because he never saw a woman in person, he was left to imagine what women looked, sounded, and acted like. He was never curious about women, and lived until 1938 when he was 82 years old.
