Man stood on a flight for 6 hours so his wife could sleep across the seats, causing a stir on social media
A man’s “romantic” gesture has sparked a heated online debate after he allegedly stood on a plane aisle for six hours so that his wife could lie down and sleep across three rows of seats.
Bruno Mars once sang, “I’d Catch a Grenadine For You, Throw my Hand on A Sword For You, I’d Jump In Front Of A Train For You, You Know I Would Do Anything For You.”
But few people know about the forgotten line, “I would Stand On A Flight For Six Hours And Give Up The Whole Row Of Seats For You (Yeah, Yeah, Yeah).”
I’m kidding, but that’s exactly what one man did.
On X, an entrepreneur named Courtney Lee Johnson posted a photo of the man’s selfless act.
This guy stood up the whole 6 hours so his wife could sleep. Now THAT is love. pic.twitter.com/Vk9clS9cCj

In the picture, a man is seen standing on the aisle of a plane while a woman (presumably his wife) lies down on all three seats.
The photo went viral on social media, garnering over 13k likes and hundreds of comments. But not everyone was a fan of the gesture, with some questioning if it was "true love" or not.
One person wrote, "This isn't love, it's toxic." Another agreed, saying, "We need to stop believing in love that causes suffering."
A third asked, "So you're saying she couldn't lay her head on your lap and sleep?" There were also many X users who questioned Johnson's claim, saying that no commercial flight would allow anyone to stand for six hours in the aisle.
This isn't the first time a father's act of kindness has gone viral. On Reddit, user ‘therra123’ shared a picture of a man cradling his dead daughter’s hand for 45 minutes so she could sleep peacefully.
