Dad divides internet as he cradles her daughter's head for 45 minutes so she could sleep during a flight


A caring act for his daughter was broadcast online, dividing social media users.




A man is said to do everything for his daughter, and that definitely appears to be the case for this adoring father, whose selfish kindness was filmed by a fellow passenger during a trip.


A Reddit User 'therra123' posted a snapshot of the incident to Reddit, writing, "This man kept his hand in this position for 45 minutes so his daughter could sleep well."


The photo, which was published on the 'MadeMeSmile' subreddit, shows the guy leaning forward in his flying seat, cradling his daughter's head and cradling her head so she may sleep peacefully.


In just 12 hours, the post has received over 37,000 'upvotes' and over 800 comments from Redditors congratulating the parent.

"Part of the job," said another. It doesn't change just because they're no longer babies."


A person mentioned that even though she might not be aware of it at the moment, she will forever cherish the soothing touch of her father's hand.


However, not everyone believed that the moment was perfect, with several social media users claiming that there had to be a better alternative.


"I feel like..." "I think there's a better way," one Redditor said.


"Yeah, it's adorable at first, but once you really think about it, you realize there are a hundred other ways to do it better," someone else chimed in.


Others offered their own straightforward suggestions: "Seriously. Roll up a hoodie or jacket and presto! Insta-pillow. "Here's an idea: ask a flight attendant for a blanket and pillow."


Some Redditors also thought the daughter was losing out on key life skills.


"Not to be a d**k... but I don't think the 'comfort' is worth the lesson that's being taught here," a member of the audience said.


Another individual agreed, going so far as to remark, "I think, maybe an unpopular opinion, but this is not good parenting." Should allow the girl figure out how to make herself comfortable on her own and return her father's hand to him."


Others questioned the issue from the daughter's perspective, with one saying, "I can't imagine being able to sleep knowing my dad had to suffer unnecessarily like this."


Another person concurred, wondering, "How on Earth could anyone relax knowing someone is doing this for them?"
