My dad decided to give his new baby the exact same name as mine - I feel like I'm being replaced.

Roseanne, an 18 year old, said she had never had a strong relationship with her father and believed it was because she had been 'accumulated by mistake'.
Despite this, Roseanne said she had tried to build a positive relationship with him.
"My parents never wanted to have children, but a mistake was made. I know his last name, but he was never around until last year, and I'm still living with him. I met his new wife last year, but we don't really get along.
Now she's pregnant, and the baby is due in June, around my birthday," Roseanne wrote on Reddit. "My dad is naming his new baby after me, so I feel like I'm being replaced and second best."
She was surprised when they told her what the baby's name was going to be. He and his new wife wanted to call the baby Roseanne because his new wife's favourite flowers are roses, she said.
She felt like she was being replaced. She tried to suggest other names like Rose, but her ideas were rejected.
Her step-mother accused her of being selfish because she was jealous of her father wanting this baby. Her father was angry at her and said she should be more mature and not "gate-keep a name".
Many people criticised her father for wanting to name the baby after her, while others suggested she would be happier without him.
One person commented that it would be "unfair" for both of them to have the same name.
Another said, "Tell them you support them using that name, then change your surname and don't talk to them again."
A third said, "This is a big red flag about your position in your father's mind. This naming strongly suggests that he sees the baby as a chance to make up for the mistakes he's made with you."
Another said, "She's supposed to be your successor. I think you should start getting ready to move out and become an independent person. It's not right to name two of your children the same thing."
Other users said it was confusing and had negative connotations, making it seem like you were trying to replace one child for another.
