Theresa Fischer, a former German Celebrity Big Brother contestant, paid a whopping 5,000 for a procedure to lengthen her legs by 5 inches.

The 31-year-old model, who is well-known for her presence on the show, said she was motivated to undertake the treatment by her former partner, which required cutting her shins and inserting telescopic rods to gradually lengthen her legs, as per Daily Star.

At the time of the procedure, Theresia was 24 and 5’6” tall. She now has conflicting feelings about the procedure's long-term repercussions, which left her with bruises all over her legs.

Theresia told MDR Jump in an August interview that she was pressured by her ex-boyfriend to have the surgery after he said, "You know I love big ladies, so I'd really like to see you get up to 14 cm more." She added, "He said, 'You can't do anything, you need me,' and if you're told that 20 times – then you think you're nothing."

The surgery left Theresia over 6 feet tall and she said she sometimes feels “shame” at having changed her body so much.

She added, “I'm ashamed because I agreed to an operation that I shouldn't have. I've never had to deal with this before because I've never been unhappy with my body.

In the interview, Theresia described the intense procedure, saying that her shins had been deliberately broken and her calf muscles had been split. “The shin bone was broken cleanly,” she said, “and a telescopic rod was used in each case.”

The rods in her legs then help her legs lengthen over time by allowing her to stretch her lower legs independently. She explains that she holds her knee in one hand and screws her foot inward with her other hand until she clicks. She adds 10 clicks on each side each day for an extra 0.5 mm (0.02 inch).

Although she regrets undergoing this life-altering procedure at such a young age, Theresia had a very different view of it in 2019.

She lauded the effect it had on her sexual life, stating she was more flexible with her legs and had more room to move around in bed as a result. "I'm happy and content with my legs now," she said, "but I'm constantly bombarded with hate on the internet. It really hurts me."

Theresia added, "I finally found myself and was able to overcome my old trauma of being bullied."
