According to reports, an EasyJet flight attendant threatened to punish the family £100 if they were unable to maintain control of their youngster. There was video of stewards lecturing a family when they were travelling from France to the UK.
The attendant was upset because the family was "failing to control" a young boy who was standing in a seat without shoes. 2019 saw Louisa Zeiss, the incident's spectator, describe the worker as "intimidating." She said the woman had threatened to charge the family £100 for cleaning services.
The 32-year-old star of The Apprentice posted this video to Instagram with the following caption: "I regret not being able to record her initial comment, which was, 'If you can't control your child and stop him from standing on the seat, I will be fine.'" £100 for tidiness,' the young child had no shoes on!
"I would take that £100 and BAM it on the big man if she told me that. There is a lot of strain when travelling with children, and safety concerns are unfounded. Giving someone an orange jumpsuit and, presto, it's a power trip."
EasyJet refutes any charges made to guests for cleaning, and asserts that its staff members always put the safety of their passengers first.
But Louisa, the mother of the three, who said that during the staff member's conversation with the family, there were no seatbelt signs, continued: "This is an EasyJet jobsworth woman, such a nasty piece of work. A seatbelt sign was in the file.
However, this family wasn't English, and their command of the language was poor. They also had a frightening, utterly disorganised mindset.
"The young child, who was perhaps two years old, was standing on the seat with his back to the back row in order to view his family. There was no disturbance, and he wasn't weeping."
"The video clearly shows that crew members were concerned for the child's safety and made a request for them to either sit on the floor or in their seat," an EasyJet representative said in response to the accusations at the time.
Passengers weren't charged anything in exchange for the cleaning. If there was anything offensive about the way this was handled, we apologise. Our top focus is keeping our passengers and crew safe."
