My neighbor had nine cars parked in front of my house; my retaliation cost them £90,000

After her neighbors parked nine of their cars down a small residential street while refusing to park on their driveway because it's 'tacky,' a woman exacted £90,000 in retaliation.

A woman claims she exacted costly retaliation against her neighbors after they selfishly parked nine of their vehicles on a small residential street. After the motorists parked two of their vehicles directly outside her home for an extended period of time despite having an empty driveway, the woman took matters into her own hands.

The anonymous woman explained on the popular forum Reddit how her vengeance cost the neighbors £90,000 in damages. "My neighbors have nine cars total parked in the street," she raged. They always park two of those cars in front of my house and leave them there for the entire week."

"We have a rule where we live that you can't leave your car parked for more than 48 hours in the same spot," she continued.

My neighbors have a large driveway that can fit four cars, but it is always empty. They've told me that they don't like leaving cars in their driveway because it looks tacky.

It's crazy how they don't even use half of the cars they own. It seems like they only keep them to hog parking spaces for themselves. By the way, in 2021, I spotted them building a second unit right behind their main house.

I noticed that they finished the house in less than a month. This raised some concerns because it can take up to 2-3 months, with city inspections taking the majority of the time.

I used the app to file a ticket with my city, informing them that there might be some illegal residential construction going on without a permit. I hadn't given it much thought until a year later.

"Last week, I noticed my neighbors knocking down their second unit. A city inspector was stationed on our street, ensuring that everything was being demolished.

The lady insisted that she caused them a loss of more than $100,000 (£90,000) due to the expenses incurred for the materials and labor involved in their second unit.

"The driveway thing sounds stupid," one commenter remarked in the comments section. I never considered having cars parked in a driveway to be tacky. Unless the vehicles are junkers."

Meanwhile, another person advised that the woman go a step further: "accidentally scatter bird seed around their parked cars every day."
