Just because you say no ice cream doesn't mean you'll drink more alcohol, she explains. “Double, that means you'll drink more alcohol.”
While most were supportive, some accused her of "looking sideways" and claimed they were simply enjoying their drinks less cold.
One person wrote: “Okay, but sometimes we just want more drinks, not more alcohol, so we can't finish the ice cream in 5 seconds.” “Funny how you really don't want your drink to turn liquid,” another added.
A third person joked:
“Don't feed me ice cream without an attitude.”
However, dozens of people supported Jemima, saying it was clear customers were "pulling fast".
“The people in the comments talking about this topic would NEVER survive as a barista,” one commenter observed. “It's very precise.”
A second added: “We bartenders know exactly what no ice means. “You know right away that your face is like no iceberg would recognize it.”
While drinking, I asked him not to add ice
They also pointed out that Jemima's demeanour was completely informal, despite the customer's constant instructions. “Y'all are tripping, she's so happy about it,” one user wrote.
Another TikToker said:
“As a bartender in a HIGH VOLUME environment, that's not even rude. It's annoying to be scolded when you do what they ask.
“Those who say you have an attitude have clearly never worked in this industry,” a third reassured. “This happens CONSTANTLY and these clients need to be taught.”
Some people are shocked that this point even needs to be reiterated.
“I'm surprised we still have to say this,” one person added. Jemima has about 975,400 followers on TikTok and her bartending videos have attracted more than 43.6 million likes.
Previously, she caused a stir because of her ability to open beer bottles extremely quickly, once opening 5 bottles in less than 3 seconds.
